Abstract

In the article, the feasibility of applying decision trees to forecasting financial crises in Ukrainian insurance companies was analyzed. Using the formed feature sets, several decision tree models were built, among which the best performing in terms of sensitivity and accuracy model was selected based on the classification characteristics for two consecutive periods. Based on the analysis, the ways of improving the practice of applying decision trees for crisis prediction in Ukrainian insurance companies were outlined.
